Club Welfare Officer
We would like to introduce our new Club Welfare Officer, Lynette Cutter.
Lynette has been involved with the club for many years, playing for our ladies team, her sons play for the u11’s and 13’s, her husband Tom is a regular at Match of the Dads and even her daughter played for the club to complete the full set! On top of this the family business have generously sponsored many teams over the years.
A club welfare officer (CWO) is the person within a sports club with primary responsibility for managing and reporting concerns about children and for putting into place procedures to safeguard children in the club.
In order to become a CWO Lynette has an up-to-date Criminal Records Check, completed an FA Safeguarding Children Qualification, a committee safeguarding course qualification and attended a Welfare Officers Workshop.
Lynette works as a specialist nurse in health visiting where working with children and safeguarding is part of her daily role and she also sits on a foster panel for health.
We are delighted to welcome Lynette to the clubs committee in her new role. Her passion for the club and safeguarding is clear to see and we thank her for stepping forward.
