Ross Juniors is delighted to announce that we've been awarded a grant of £5,000 in the form of a Community Award from the OneFamily Foundation. The club intends to use these funds in order to purchase portable aluminium shelters. These shelters will be placed alongside our juniors football pitches to encourage participation by the younger club members and attract new boys and girls to the club and sport.
The club worked to generate support for this project as we felt this fantastic facility would really enhance the welfare of existing youth players. In the winter months, the children have to play in all conditions and it is evident that some protection from the elements, for the substitutes, would provide a much better football experience and, hopefully, maintain particpation throughout the winter months.
This award came after a summer of public voting with competition against a range of organisations from across the UK. The club would like to thank the OneFamily Foundation for the grant, and all of our members and their families for their fantastic support.
