Isle of Wight Tour 2018

The tour has justs finished but for the 160 that went the memories will live for a long time. Images are being shared across social media from the weekend now that those who attended have a spare minute. The tour was not just all Ross Juniors as we were joined by our friends from across the border, Monmouth Town Juniors. The u11 and u14 boys team were brilliantly represented on the trip as were the u10-12 girls.

The tour was action packed from the first minute with activities such as abseiling, zip wire and aeroball taking place as soon as we arrived at PGL Little Canada. Then most of the group went by ferry to support England or Wales in the World Cup Qualifier at St Mary’s Stadium. We were then joined on tour by Birmingham City Ladies stars Kerys Harrop and Rachel Williams.

Saturday saw activities in morning then a wonderful afternoon of football just outside Ventnor with our friends from Rew Valley. The football was competitive and most importantly fun as new teams forged from players who usually play for Ross, Monmouth, Ledbury and Lads Club. Jess and Rew Valley FC were fantastic hosts and players and spectators enjoyed the games. That evening back at PGL the adults participated in the “World Cup”, team Australia captained by Kerys won, France captained by Rach are still disputing the “neutral” Australian refs neutrality!

Sunday saw Quad Biking, Archery and many other great activities before a fun packed journey home. Thanks go out to the PGL staff, the great Pulhams drivers, Mel for brilliant tour hoodies and t shirts and to all those attended.

Big plans are beginning for a showstopping tour next year.
