End of season success for women’s and girls section

The last 3 days has seen three trophies for our female section. Beginning with the u11 girls team who play in the u12 Gloucester County League winning the end of season 6-a-side tournament in Bristol on Sunday. The girls played 9 games in a short space of time and were delighted to be overall winners after beating close rivals Dursley in the final. This was then followed by the ladies team securing the Herefordshire Development League title with a 5-0 win over Belmont in the afternoon. This is the first league the team has entered after only being formed two years ago so a massive achievement for players and coaches. Then on Tuesday evening the u13 Girls won the Herefordshire league with an emphatic victory over Lads Club Pumas. They now have a cup final on Sunday as they aim for the double.

With the Herefordshire girls league cup finals this Sunday and with 4 Ross teams in it there is hope for more silverware. The club now has 27 wildcats in their new programme alongside its current 8 female teams and with 2 more planned for next season the future looks great. The U16s girls are also moving forward by entering the GFA under 18 league next season which will form a great pathway from our junior sections to our ladies.
