The changes to the girls’ football age bandings in Herefordshire to Under 14 and Under 16 has not been to the benefit of everyone. Our current Under 14 girls are a committed and talented group, but were threatened with being split up due to the make-up of the group.
However, thanks to the South Wales Women’s & Girls League (SWWGL), along with the South Wales Football Association, the Herefordshire FA, and the Football Association’s cross-border competition panel, we have been given special dispensation to play an Under 15s team in Wales next season!
That means, from September 2019, we will be the only Herefordshire-based girls team playing competitive 11v11 football at the Under 15 age group.
If your daughter has been left without a team, or would be playing at an unsuitable age group, due to the changes in Herefordshire, please get in touch. The team trains in Ross on a Tuesday evening, and we always welcome new faces.
