Club receive grant to extend Outreach Programme

Ross Juniors FC is indebted to the UK (Shared Prosperity Fund) Community Capacity Grant Scheme that has a provided a significant grant to extend its Outreach Community Programme this includes West Bank and Dulas Court Care homes, Pan Disability. Helping those at day centres with learning difficulties at Shepherd House and the Horizon Centre; children with anxiety and low confidence issues; St Michael's Dementia Group, Ross Meeting Centre for those suffering with Dementia; and the club's younger section with tots and Saturday Club.

The Club would also like to thank the Talk Community Engagement team for their immense help and guidance in processing the application.

This funding has allowed the club to purchase additional equipment and hire facilities where necessary over the winter months to cater for these groups.

The club now provides on average 200 individuals the opportunity to take part in football from the age of 2 to 98 in additional to its core football teams.

An example of this funding was shown at the weekend when new footballs were used for the Pan Disability section and at the end everyone was thrilled to receive a brand-new shirt that all the teams use on match days to make them feel a real part of the club.

This funding demonstrates that the club has reached out into the community (and beyond) to include as many Individuals as possible within Ross Juniors FC. The Club is determined to engage with the local community and make a valuable contribution to as many individuals as possible.
